Korea 2018: Nami Island, Petite France, and Garden of Morning Calm

On our third day, we booked a tour to Nami Island, Petite France, and the Garden of Morning Calm. The destinations were quite far from where we were staying and we didn’t want to risk getting lost or missing the bus. I wish we had more time to explore, but I had fun nonetheless because it was my FIRST. TIME. TO. EXPERIENCE. SNOW!!!

Korea 2018: Kakao Friends, Bongeunsa Temple, Book Park, and Seoul Tower

Spent the past week in Seoul, Korea with my BFF, Maj. I filmed our entire trip (watch out for the vlog!) but while that is still in the works here are some of my favorite photos from my camera:

These two greeted us as we made our way to the Airport Railroad Express (AREX) in Incheon. Korea has a bullet train and an all-stop train so we opted to take the middle ground. That way, we’re comfortable but still wise with our spending.

The AREX has scheduled trips so I managed to snap a few pictures while waiting. This was taken at around 8AM Korea time and I just loved how the light hit everything in this moment.

Batanes 2017: North Batan Tour

It was love at first sight.

I knew I had found paradise on earth the minute the plane flew over the picturesque view below. Blue skies, crystal clear waters, and luscious green fields welcomed me on my first solo adventure.

Batanes 2017: DIY Travel Guide

I decided to DIY a solo trip (my first!) to Batanes for my 25th Birthday weekend.

I’ve been getting a lot of queries on how I did it, so before I dive in to all the stories I’ve accumulated over the past 5 days, here’s a comprehensive travel guide based on my July 2017 trip to help you plan your own adventure:

Puerto Princesa 2016 (Part 1)

First destination for 2016? The City of the Living God.

Kilo’s friends from the States came to visit so he decided to take them to one of the most beautiful islands in the Philippines: Palawan.

At first glance, Puerto Princesa appears to be just like any other city. Stores and houses crowd the sidewalks. The streets are abuzz with chatter and car noises. Some places tend to make me feel out of place, but this one reminds me of home. However, it also has its hidden nuances. #1: There are trash cans all over. Apparently, litterbugs could receive a simple warning or land in jail. #2: Their tricycles have room for 3-4 people, including their luggage (!!!) And the ride only costs 8php per head. And finally, #3: the roads are smooth and spacious -a luxury we Manilenos cannot afford.

I already have a feeling that there’s a lot in store for us to discover.DSC_6376
